Rachel Underhill, a former Jehovah’s Witness so committed to her religion that she refused a life-saving blood transfusion when the birth of her twins didn’t quite go according to plan, has launched this website - www.exJW-Reunited.co.uk - to help former Jehovah’s Witnesses to share experiences, offer mutual online support and contact old friends. Believed to be the first UK online resource of its kind, Rachel is determined to use the site to provide much-needed advice and support to those who are suffering as a result of being a member or the Jehovah’s Witnesses, or are feeling the pain having left the religion. “When I left the Jehovah’s Witnesses, I found it really difficult to adjust and couldn’t find help anywhere,” Rachel says. “Those early days were so difficult and I've always felt that if I could have talked to someone, or emailed someone who was going through the same thing, it would have helped me so much. That’s why I decided to start this website, to help people who have either experienced or who are experiencing the same thing as I went though when I left the religion.” “Here, at exJW-reunited, people can chat to each other, offer suggestions and encouragement and get back in touch with old JW friends. I am sure there are many who, like me, lost contact with others who left; now realise what they must have gone through and wonder how they are.
